Situated on the bank of Saltcoats Creek and near to the River Crouch our H.Q. is the perfect place for a quiet Guiding holiday, yet within easy reach of many attractions.

Just a short walk away is the town centre with a 24 hour Asda supermarket, a new swimming pool and sports centre, including a brand new climbing wall.

Marsh Farm Country Park is approx. 20 mins walk, with Tropical Wings Butterfly & Animal Centre 5 mins by car (approx. 40 mins to walk).

There are also regular buses to Chelmsford, (open air pool) Basildon and Maldon (promenade park and swimming pool)

We are several hundred yards from the road on a secure gated site, the building consists of 2 large halls, 1 smaller room (suitable for 1st aid), a bathroom with 3 cubicles and wash basins, kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer.
The maximum no. of girls accommodated indoors is 12, plus 4 leaders.

Outside we have a patio area with B.B.Q. and a large grass area which can accommodate several tents. There are 4 concrete bases for patrol cooking and a central campfire base. Suggested no’s for camping would be 18/20 girls plus leaders. Any male campers would need to set up an independent lat tent.
