Another Successful Guideacres Work Day

14th Apr 2018

Several times a year there is a designated Work Day at Guideacres Campsite.   Volunteers spend a morning doing a variety of jobs, from cleaning to painting to clearing the undergrowth in order to ensure that the standards at this local facility are kept high and that members and guests be stay safe when using it.

On 14h April the sun shone providing a lovely day for members of the Guideacres committee and their friends who came and worked on the site.   They were able to achieve a number of goals including  filling in holes made by badgers, washing the solar panels on the roof, clearing brambles and tidying up perimeter & brick piles.  Best of all they cleared and tidied the wood pile so we can safely access the campfire.

Oh and of course they made a fire!

In case you want to help out, the next Work Day will be on Sunday 20th May 10:30 until 2 pm. Lunch provided for volunteers!!! Just let one of the committee know you are coming.
